My Favorites

  • A Lions Stare

There is not much in this world that compares to being face to face, eye to eye with a Lion. Taken in South Africa just southwest of Kruger National Park, this is an encounter I won’t ever forget.

  • In the Shadow of Mt Cook

Without a doubt the most personality i’ve ever seen in a bird has been with the Kea in New Zealand’s South Island. Taken on a Hike in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park with the magical Mt Cook in the background this Kea was an incredible encounter.

  • Blue World Wanderer

The Green Sea Turtle has become one of my favorite animals to photograph. Every encounter i’ve had with these ancient creatures has been nothing short of pure bliss. Green Sea Turtles will travel thousands of kilometers and live up to 70 years old.

  • An Apex's Strength

Laying by the edge of their waterhole, not just one but three hippos and their calf leapt out of the water. I’ll never forget their incredible sounds and displays of might. I can easily say this is one of my most memorable wildlife encounters.

  • An Australian Icon

It’s a blessing being able to photograph kangaroos so close to home, and this portrait is definitely one of my favorites i’ve taken of the iconic species. Their curiosity is an incredible experience.

  • A monkey with light brown fur and expressive amber eyes peeks out from behind green leaves on a tree.

    Eyes in the Trees

No matter where you are in Africa there is sure to be something watching you. For me that ended up being Vervet Monkeys, the absolute best animal to watch jump between trees, play, fight and steal. They’re full of personality and move with ease. They’re nothing short of joyful to photograph.

  • Close-up of a bird's face with a focus on its beak and closed eyes.

    Tropical Stare

Located in Lady Elliot Island, the Red-Tailed Tropic Birds were not high on my priority list to photograph, but after my first encounter I knew I wasn’t leaving without a picture. Their stare is absolutely mesmerizing.

  • A detailed underwater scene featuring a large octopus with reddish-brown, textured skin resting on a coral reef. The ocean water above is clear and blue.

    The Oceans Shape Shifter

Observing this octopus at Lady Elliot Island was extraordinary to say the least. Watching them change color, textures and squeeze their body into the smallest cracks and crevices is unbelievable.
